The Coalition for Children, Youth & Families, Inc. (the Coalition) was founded in 1983 by parents committed to finding loving homes for children in out-of-home care. As a nonprofit organization, we serve all 72 counties of Wisconsin, with partial funding from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families under the Wisconsin Family Connections Center program grant.
The Coalition’s dedication to providing neutral, compassionate, and timely support for individuals and families navigating Wisconsin’s child welfare system and adoption process sets it apart.

Position Summary
The Adult Education Coordinator secures and coordinates training opportunities that empower foster, adoptive, and relative caregiving families. Reporting to a Program Manager, this role works closely with the Program Team to meet the diverse needs of our learners. Training at the Coalition is delivered through various formats, including online courses, webinars, in-person training, conferences, workshops, and seminars. This is a full-time, hybrid position with occasional requirements to be in person at the Milwaukee office or at live events throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment for families, whether the setting is virtual or in-person
- Vet and contract with training professionals, providing preparation and support
- Coordinate webinars and in-person training sessions
- Coordinate conferences and workshops, including event planning
- Edit and post training recordings for the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Promote program services with a focus on building training attendance and customer loyalty
- Write articles, tip sheets, and other educational materials to educate and support foster and adoptive families and relative caregivers
- Answer inquiries and provide resources to support families
- Consistently demonstrate a passion for the Coalition’s vision, purpose, and values
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant training or experience in organizing, coordinating program logistics, or event planning
- Experience hosting webinars and online meetings
- Comfortable with various technologies and troubleshooting
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural, racial, and ethnic groups
- Willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin
- Availability for occasional nights and weekends
- Basic understanding of trauma-informed practices
Desired Experience and Traits
- Lived experience in foster care, adoption, or as a relative caregiver is highly preferred

Education
An associate or bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or a related field is preferred.
